In the metrics repo i save the data in data files. it might make sense to calculate the data in a separate build and then just grab the numbers from a metrics data file.
I suspect we can consolidate all stats.. but again that can be a refactor - i will turn this comment into an issue - about consolidating how we calculate stats!
