From bc9abffb62ef353d028ce58b98b9e8611fdb9dbb Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: erKam Date: Tue, 13 Oct 2026 18:27:50 +0000 Subject: [PATCH 01/11] feat(overlay): report change detection, leaks and errors from native apps The Angular Native and NativeScript overlays only sent components, signals, injectors, NgRx and pipes, so the phase 4 diagnosis never reached an app on a device. Run the browser collectors there through a shared native-diagnostics module: change detection recording with causes and OnPush hints, leaks, errors with the console and the NG0100 explainer, startup timing, provider values, TanStack Query, the other stores, page plugins and the page's Angular info. The collectors take a host tree, a page description and a profiler gate instead of the DOM, location and document, so both overlays share one code path, push with the page id, skip unchanged reports and forget their pages on dispose. React Native's ErrorUtils handler feeds the errors collector on Angular Native. --- .../src/__tests__/native-diagnostics.test.ts | 480 ++++++++++++++++++ .../__tests__/overlay-angular-native.test.ts | 48 ++ .../overlay-nativescript-inspectors.test.ts | 47 +- packages/devtools/src/cd-diagnosis.ts | 15 +- packages/devtools/src/cd-overlay.ts | 47 +- packages/devtools/src/change-detection.ts | 35 +- packages/devtools/src/errors-collector.ts | 85 +++- packages/devtools/src/leaks-collector.ts | 69 ++- packages/devtools/src/native-diagnostics.ts | 342 +++++++++++++ packages/devtools/src/ng-capabilities.ts | 8 +- .../devtools/src/overlay-angular-native.ts | 19 + packages/devtools/src/overlay-nativescript.ts | 18 + packages/devtools/src/plugins-collector.ts | 10 +- packages/devtools/src/startup-recorder.ts | 2 +- packages/devtools/src/startup-timing.ts | 31 +- 15 files changed, 1184 insertions(+), 72 deletions(-) create mode 100644 packages/devtools/src/__tests__/native-diagnostics.test.ts create mode 100644 packages/devtools/src/native-diagnostics.ts diff --git a/packages/devtools/src/__tests__/native-diagnostics.test.ts b/packages/devtools/src/__tests__/native-diagnostics.test.ts new file mode 100644 index 00000000..6f6a5379 --- /dev/null +++ b/packages/devtools/src/__tests__/native-diagnostics.test.ts @@ -0,0 +1,480 @@ +// No DOM here on purpose: the native overlays run where there is no +// `document`, `window` or `location`. +import { afterEach, describe, expect, it, vi } from 'vitest'; +import { addProfilerListener, type Profiler } from '../change-detection.ts'; +import { resolvePangularConfig } from '../config.ts'; +import { elementId } from '../element-id.ts'; +import { + NATIVE_STARTUP_NOTE, + attachNativeDiagnostics, + createTreeDirty, + errorUtilsTarget, + hostAngularVersion, +} from '../native-diagnostics.ts'; +import { angularNativeTree, type AngularNativeNode } from '../overlay-angular-native-views.ts'; +import { registerPangularPlugin } from '../plugin.ts'; +import { + REDUX_EXTENSION_KEY, + installReduxDevtoolsHook, + uninstallReduxDevtoolsHook, +} from '../redux-devtools-hook.ts'; +import { QueryClient } from '@tanstack/query-core'; + +const JWT = ['eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9', 'eyJzdWIiOiIxMjM0NSJ9', 'c2lnbmF0dXJlc2ln'].join('.'); + +interface FakeNode { + kind: string; + name: string; + children: FakeNode[]; + parent: FakeNode | null; + props: Record; +} + +function el(name: string, children: FakeNode[] = []): FakeNode { + const node: FakeNode = { kind: 'element', name, children, parent: null, props: {} }; + for (const child of children) child.parent = node; + return node; +} + +class App {} +class Row {} +class ErrorHandler { + handleError(error: unknown) { + return error; + } +} +class ApplicationRef { + tick() {} + isStable = { + subscribe: (fn: (value: boolean) => void) => { + fn(true); + return { unsubscribe() {} }; + }, + }; +} +Object.assign(App, { ɵcmp: { selectors: [['app-root']] } }); +Object.assign(Row, { ɵcmp: { selectors: [['app-row']] } }); + +/** + * An Angular Native app: root(app-root) > view > [app-row, app-row], with a + * fake `ng` that answers through the nodes, a zoneless scheduler on the + * environment injector and one profiler slot. + */ +function fixture( + options: { providers?: boolean; version?: string; records?: [unknown, unknown][] } = {}, +) { + const first = el('app-row', [el('text')]); + const second = el('app-row', [el('text')]); + const list = el('view', [first, second]); + const root = el('root', [list]); + root.props['ng-version'] = options.version ??
