From 64efe7caabcc054fb40957752f2f278998ec5509 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: erKam Date: Sun, 11 Oct 2026 22:29:14 +0000 Subject: [PATCH 1/9] fix(mcp): mask secrets and harden agent resources and lint checks Several agent tools and resources leaked data or gave wrong results. Mask the email address in the email-in-url finding, check before redacting in the hydration console patch, cover *ngFor elements in the impure-pipe-in-for lint, add word boundaries to the forms NG code regex, drop the dead page check from form-action and fill-form, and describe the analog-call-api arguments in its schema. Four raw resources now return compact, capped text with an _untrusted notice, so a large or hostile page cannot flood the agent context. The resources, security, tools and pipes docs pages match the new behavior. Component providers were hidden from the injector tree on every Angular version, because Angular puts a bloom id on each token a component provides and the check for its own built-in tokens matched those ids too. On Angular 20 every @defer block was dropped, because ɵgetDeferBlocks returns no hostNode there. Fix both, add the private-API collector tests to the compat config and two tests that boot a real app, add an Angular next compat entry that may fail without failing the run, run the package tests on Node.js 22, and make a bad pull request title fail the commit message check. The development guide, commit guidelines and commit skill match. A block appearing in front of it moved every later block's id and timing record. Key such blocks by the container comment after their root nodes instead, which stays put while the block moves from placeholder to content, and keep the index only for blocks with no root nodes. The four live-state resources now say in their descriptions that they start with an `_untrusted` notice and what they hold past 100,000 characters. The *ngFor check found the start tag by looking back for the last `<`, which landed inside values like `[hidden]="n < 2"`. It now walks start tags from the front and skips quoted values. --- .../src/__tests__/defer-blocks.test.ts | 38 +++++++++++++++++++ .../devtools/src/__tests__/ngrx-mcp.test.ts | 11 ++++++ packages/devtools/src/defer-blocks.ts | 23 ++++++++--- packages/devtools/src/devframe.ts | 14 ++++--- .../src/rpc/__tests__/pipe-lint-for.test.ts | 7 ++++ packages/devtools/src/rpc/pipe-lint.ts | 16 ++++---- packages/devtools/src/rpc/resource-text.ts | 3 ++ 7 files changed, 94 insertions(+), 18 deletions(-) diff --git a/packages/devtools/src/__tests__/defer-blocks.test.ts b/packages/devtools/src/__tests__/defer-blocks.test.ts index ee42ff31..828fd822 100644 --- a/packages/devtools/src/__tests__/defer-blocks.test.ts +++ b/packages/devtools/src/__tests__/defer-blocks.test.ts @@ -153,6 +153,44 @@ describe('createDeferTracker', () => { expect(second[0]).toMatchObject({ state: 'complete', since: 2000 }); expect(second[1].since).toBe(1000); }); + + it('keeps a block without a hostNode on its id and timing when a block appears before it', () => { + const { reviews, anchor, instances } = page(); + const section = reviews.querySelector('section')!; + let clock = 1000; + let raw: unknown[] = [{ ...block({ rootNodes: [section] }), type: undefined }]; + const ng: DeferDebugNg = { + getComponent: (el) => instances.get(el) ?? null, + ɵgetDeferBlocks: () => raw, + }; + const tracker = createDeferTracker(() => clock); + const [first] = tracker.collect(ng)!; + + clock = 2000; + const added = document.createElement('p'); + reviews.insertBefore(added, section); + reviews.insertBefore(document.createComment('container'), section); + raw = [ + { ...block({ rootNodes: [added] }), type: undefined }, + { ...block({ rootNodes: [section] }), type: undefined }, + ]; + const second = tracker.collect(ng)!; + expect(second[1]).toMatchObject({ id: first.id, since: 1000 }); + expect(second[0].id).not.toBe(first.id); + expect(second[0].since).toBe(2000); + + clock = 3000; + const content = document.createElement('div'); + reviews.replaceChild(content, section); + raw = [ + { ...block({ rootNodes: [added] }), type: undefined }, + { ...block({ state: 'complete', rootNodes: [content] }), type: undefined }, + ]; + const third = tracker.collect(ng)!; + expect(content.nextSibling).toBe(anchor); + expect(third[1]).toMatchObject({ id: first.id, state: 'complete', since: 3000 }); + expect(third[0].id).toBe(second[0].id); + }); }); describe('deferBlocksText', () => { diff --git a/packages/devtools/src/__tests__/ngrx-mcp.test.ts b/packages/devtools/src/__tests__/ngrx-mcp.test.ts index 7f004542..5f2ba794 100644 --- a/packages/devtools/src/__tests__/ngrx-mcp.test.ts +++ b/packages/devtools/src/__tests__/ngrx-mcp.test.ts @@ -33,6 +33,17 @@ const entry = (seq: number, type: string, origin: 'dispatch' | 'effect' | 'react restorable: false, }); +describe('live-state resource descriptions', () => { + it('describe the untrusted notice and the large-state fallback', async () => { + const { ctx } = await boot(); + for (const id of ['component-tree', 'signal-graph', 'injector-tree', 'ngrx-store']) { + const description = ctx.agent.getResource(`pangular:${id}`)?.description ??
