From a164b56d63c968f95a7be504e3c46d892cd9c206 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: erKam Date: Sat, 10 Oct 2026 22:57:01 +0000 Subject: [PATCH 1/2] feat(mcp): add list-components tool with a component tree outline The live component tree was only available as the pangular:component-tree resource. Clients that only use tools had to call devframe_state_read, which returns the full JSON of every page, just to find an instance id or see how a page is built. list-components returns one page's tree as an indented outline, one line per instance with its class name, host tag and id, plus markers for routed components (joined from the router outlets the same page reports) and host directives. A filter keeps matches and their ancestors, depth limits the levels, and the answer is capped at 20,000 characters, notes a tree the page truncated and is marked as untrusted page data. Page text goes through the router redaction helper. --- apps/docs/src/content/agents/resources.md | 2 +- apps/docs/src/content/agents/tools.md | 21 +- .../docs/src/content/inspectors/components.md | 1 + .../src/__tests__/agent-tools.test.ts | 32 +++ packages/devtools/src/config.ts | 2 + packages/devtools/src/devframe.ts | 33 +++ .../rpc/__tests__/component-outline.test.ts | 150 ++++++++++++++ .../devtools/src/rpc/component-outline.ts | 196 ++++++++++++++++++ 8 files changed, 435 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) create mode 100644 packages/devtools/src/rpc/__tests__/component-outline.test.ts create mode 100644 packages/devtools/src/rpc/component-outline.ts diff --git a/apps/docs/src/content/agents/resources.md b/apps/docs/src/content/agents/resources.md index b3e934d0..b9976829 100644 --- a/apps/docs/src/content/agents/resources.md +++ b/apps/docs/src/content/agents/resources.md @@ -93,7 +93,7 @@ The list also includes the keys behind the six resources above (`pangular:compon ### Read a key with a tool -Some clients only use tools.
