PolishProof is a free, MIT-licensed Agent Skill for bounded changes to an existing web UI. It complements your design skill with a preservation contract, paired screenshots and explicit interaction checks.
The shipped demo is a deliberately flawed synthetic learning screen, not a customer app. Its CSS-only treatment keeps the purple brand, Arial, copy, HTML and JavaScript intact. Phone horizontal overflow goes from 430px to zero; four before/after interaction runs pass across phone and desktop.
The first proposal passed mechanical checks but pushed Continue below the phone’s first fold. Screenshot review caught it.
Before/after images and code · Raw receipt · Review and tradeoffs
To try it with Codex, review and copy the complete skills/polish-proof/ folder into your project’s .agents/skills/, without overwriting an existing installation.
The optional helper needs Node, Playwright and a reachable preview. It covers fresh light-mode Chromium states, not every flow, accessibility requirement, canvas or shadow root. This demo does not establish superiority over no-skill prompting.
For a first real trial: what preservation requirement did it miss? Please share only non-sensitive examples.
