A way to share your thread history is through the session rollouts files in the codex home folder. |

Disclosure up front, I work on Pilot Protocol, which develops shell.online. For the hand-off while the work is still running: Does that match the hand-off you had in mind, or is the saved thread the important half? |

Disclosure: I’m building Codex Co², an independent experimental open-source project. For the shared-chat part of your backend/iOS workflow, it attaches to an existing conversation in official Codex Desktop. After host admission, your colleague joins through a browser, reads the selected conversation’s context, and can contribute prompts to the same Agent. The host must remain online, and native tool approvals stay in Desktop. It does not transfer execution to your colleague’s own account or machine for independent offline continuation. Public sharing uses TLS, without end-to-end encryption. Short demo. If you still need the shared-chat part, it may fit that workflow. |

Hi,
I'm working on a project with another iOS developer. I do the backend but recently started touching his iOS code too because AI is able to do stuf for me while the other developer is busy with other stuff. Soemthimes however we need to hand off unfinished work or would benefit from a shared chat where be both could read and provide input.
