[BUG]: Editor Action icons replaced by text

1.0.12 attempts to use commands already registered by the builtin Markdown processor. This has the effect of replacing the editor action icons with text.

Workaround is to downgrade to a previous version.

Okay, just an exaggeration. I was already needing to do this to clean up some stuff and I took advantage of the moment.

I didn't wind up using it this time, but in the future I'd suggest looking into the VS Code Extension Bisect feature. Disables half of your extensions, lets you see if the problem goes away. If it does it re-enables half of those to see if the problem re-appears, then repeats the process. I've used it once or twice but in this case I knew it had to be a Markdown related extension so I had something to go on.

I also encountered the same problem. Just install version 1.0.11 and it will be fine. The problem started to occur from version 1.0.12, and it still persists in the latest version.

1.0.15 and the error persists. Just a reminder to the devs that this still needs to be fixed.
In 1.0.11 there is no such problem.
