This is confirmed by the code. The uninstall flow in service.UninstallPlugin [1] cleans up database records, caches, and runtime state, but does not delete the .difypkg package file from storage/plugin_packages/.

The packageBucket.Delete() method exists but is only called during rollback of a failed installation [2] — never during uninstallation.

There is a CLI cleanup tool added in PR #584 (plugin cleanup command) that can remove older package versions, but it's a manual maintenance tool and not part of the automatic uninstall flow. Recent uninstall fixes in PR #738 and PR #749 addressed database/cache cleanup but didn't add package file deletion either.

To fix this, a packageBucket.Delete() call for the plugin's package file would need to be added to the uninstall path — likely in the block that handles the case when a plugin's last installation is removed [3].
