Have you considered running your lua through a formatter to get some consistent indentation? It seems to be all over the board. no indentation, tabs, spaces, mixed, etc.
I don't agree with everything most of the formatters do, but I think it would make it easier for you to maintain your code.
I can do a PR for it, if you like.
