Feature idea: allow user to "draw" a boundary

Some users have complained about the difficulty of zooming in and out on our map. I find that using the shift-draw box with the mouse technique easier, but many people are not aware of it.

Could we enable a feature that explicitly invites users to draw a boundary? https://www.rightmove.co.uk tells users to "Draw your search area". You click a pencil and draw a shape. It doesn't need to be a rectangle. It automatically closes and searches within that shape.
