Wildcard Argument Matching with Vectors

Hi,
I ran into a peculiarity where I would expect the argument field wildcard ?a to also match no arguments.
However, for this simple test script involving scalar products and vectors in a function argument

s mom;
cf dummycf;
v v1,v2,v3,p1,q0,q1,q2,q3,q4,q5;

set pint: p1;
set qext: q1,q2,q3,q4,q5;

g test = dummycf(2,mom,-q5,q0,-q3)*p1.q2*p1.q5;

* Doesn't match
id p1?pint.v1?qext * dummycf(?a,mom,?b,-v1?,?c) = 1;

* id p1?pint.v1?qext * dummycf(?a,mom,-v1?,?c) = 1;

print +s;
.end

only the second id statement matches the term.
Is this intended behavior?

It's a known limitation of the FORM pattern matcher (for products of symbols/scalar products and functions), and a workaround can be found here.

cf dot(s);

...

id q1?.q2? = dot(q1,q2);
id dot(p1?pint,v1?qext)*dummycf(?a,mom,?b,-v1?,?c) = 1;
id dot(q1?,q2?) = q1.q2;
