hi everyone,

i’ve been working on flet-m3-carousel, a flet extension that brings material 3 carousel layouts to flet applications.

the goal is to make it easier to use flutter’s material 3 carousel experience in python projects built with flet, without having to implement the underlying flutter integration yourself.

features

• multiple layouts: hero, contained, uncontained, uncontainedMultiAspect, and fullScreen
• tap and change event handling
• programmatic navigation with next(), previous(), jump_to_item(), and animate_to_item()
• configurable items with images, titles, subtitles, aspect ratios, and other display options

quickstart

install the package:

pip install flet-m3-carousel

then import the carousel and item classes in your flet application:

from flet_m3_carousel import M3Carousel, M3CarouselItem

create your carousel items using M3CarouselItem, then pass them to M3Carousel and add the control to your page.

the package includes an example application that demonstrates how the carousel can be configured and used.

current status

linux desktop has been tested. other platforms have not yet been verified, so feedback on compatibility would be appreciated.

• are there any configuration options or interaction features you’d like to see added?
