Prometheus recently added experimental support for ingesting native OTEL delta values in prometheus/prometheus#16360.
Also there is an ongoing proposal prometheus/proposals#48.
Cortex can start enabling this feature based on the awesome work from prometheus/prometheus#16360 and we can play with it as an experimental feature.

I expect the feature to be enabled from a per tenant limit config.
