Subject: [PATCH] fix(tui): abort compact on quit, reset lifecycle on failed
 rebuild

Quit no longer parks behind a hung summary call. A failed
rebuild un-poisons the compaction lifecycle so later compacts
work. CL-8564, CL-8565.
