From 80a259b7086fe3b20fe38edc2da58b8eb2466e03 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Marco Nenciarini Date: Tue, 22 Sep 2026 11:02:32 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] fix: ignore artificial python floor when installing barman barman 3.20.0 ships a pure-python wheel but declares Requires-Python >=3.12 with no real technical need for it. On debian:bookworm-slim (python3.11) pip refuses that wheel and pip falls back to building from sdist, which needs the uv_build backend, unavailable even on trixie. Pass --ignore-requires-python to pip so it installs the existing universal wheel as-is. Verified barman-cloud-backup imports and barman --version work on both bookworm and trixie builds.
