Consistent Handling of Code-Like Content #49

Description

@woutervroege

User Need

When documents contain different kinds of code-like content, inconsistent behavior makes documents harder to understand and edit.

Users need to be able to rely on consistent interaction patterns when working with code-like content in documents, so that reading, editing, and collaborating does not require relearning how each content type behaves.

Goal(s)

  • Users can apply familiar editing and navigation expectations to Mermaid and LaTeX content
  • Working with diagrams and equations feels predictable
  • Users spend less effort adapting to special cases within a single document
