There's no built-in pass logging today: a passing assertion does no bookkeeping, which is what keeps it cheap assert_that(a).is_less_than(b)
log.info("a=%r < b=%r", a, b)With a plain Where would you want passing checks to show up (console or log output, a log file, a report such as Allure), and what is it for (debugging values, seeing how close a value came to a threshold, keeping evidence of what was checked) ? Would switching it on for a block of code or a whole session work for you, or do you need it per assertion? |
console is ok
seeing how close a value came to a threshold & keeping evidence of what was checked. To avoid the burden of manually writing a log.info
For a block would be fine thanks! |

Hi,
ideally I'd like st like
assert_that(a, verbose=True).is_less_than(b)So that, when
a<bthe assertion succeeds, but logs what this the value ofa, and ideally also the value ofb.Or maybe it's already possible to accomplish this?
thanks
