converting tensor_t to tensor_impl_t

Hello!

I'm trying to convert a tensor_t to a tensor_impl_t since it's supposed to be lighter, but the example in the official MatX documentation does not seem to work for me.

Im running:
typename base_type::type in1_ = in;

Running MatX 0.9.4

Anyone know how you're supposed to convert to tensor_impl_t?

Hi, what error are you getting? That should work and is a pattern we use throughout the code. tensor_impl_t is the base class, so the assignment should work.

base_type requires a template argument:

MatX/include/matx/operators/at.h

Try typename detail::base_type_t<Op> op_ = in;

Unfortunately, I now instead get the following four errors:

error: name followed by :: must be a class or namespace name
typename detail::base_type_t<Op> op_ = in;

error: a class or namespace qualified name is required
typename detail::base_type_t<Op> op_ = in;

error: type name is not allowed
typename detail::base_type_t<Op> op_ = in;

error: expected a ";"
typename detail::base_type_t<Op> op_ = in;

I think you need to put matx:: in front of detail:: since you're outside of our namespace.
