Maybe Spotify's API isn't that neccesary

MPRIS (Media Player Remote Interfacing Specification) exists, its used by Linux distros and it could be used by Spotifier to detect songs, metadata etc etc

The equivalent for this seems to be [SMTC] (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/develop/media-playback/integrate-with-systemmediatransportcontrols)(System Media Transport Controls)

I'd suggest looking into this and implementing it, or to replace the way Spotifier gets songs etc
