Start date: 7. october 2019
This round I am going to continue blogging and even expand on it. I am going to switch over from HUGO to GatsbyJS and separate the blogging from the coding log. I also plan to learn React and Redux as well as continuing the freeCodeCamp curriculum and builing my own projects.
In round 3 I started blogging and building my own projects as well as finishing freeCodeCamps JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures section. In round 2 my goal was to build a working program from my own idea every month (I also learned Sass and Git), as opposed to round 1, where it was all about learning from scratch and copying the tutorials.
I still need a lot of practice when it comes to javascript. I need to repeat and practice the fundamentals. To get as much exposure as possible, I switched blog platform from HUGO to Gatsby. I need to get much better in Javascript before learning other languages like HUGOs GO. By having a blog driven by javascript I will get extra practice using both Javascript, React and more.
- Finish Udemys React and Redux course (30 minutes per day)
- Finish freeCodeCamps React and Redux section
- Finish one of freeCodeCamps Front End Projects using React
- Keep building decks in Anki as I go along learning new things
- The Complete React Developer Course
For the next 100 days I will do something related to programming.
- I will log my progress daily on GitHub and on my blog.
- Everything code related counts.
- More than two days off in a row, and the challenge is lost.
More focus on programming and my continued quest for blogging means I need to cut back on other things. So for now, these will be my changes:
- Continue the blog and write whatever I feel like, without beeing afraid or nervous. It's first and foremost going to be a blog by and for myself 馃槍. I will not post links to it, monetize on it, work with SEO or adwords and the like. It will not be a brand and I will not pick a niche. The reason beeing that I don't want to forget where the line is that separates my fictions from reality. It will only be me. For now.
There's no one to perform for. There is just work to be done and lessons to be learned, in all that is around us. - Ryan Holiday (Ego is the Enemy)
- Keep up with the workout, reading, guitar lessons, bullet journaling and family time.
- Less time on YouTube.
- Continue to stay away from distractions like social media, TV, gaming and other.
