Can't install Overwolf+Alecaframe

Describe the bug
I am attempting to install Alecaframe, a warframe companion app, using the following guide: https://docs.alecaframe.com/linux-support.html

I was able to install overwolf, with a bit of difficulty that required deleting the prefix and making a new one. Once I attempt to actually run Overwolf, however, it states that .NET 4.8 is required to run it and drops you into an installer which says that the operating system is unsupported.

Instead, I went to the Install a Windows DLL or Component menu and selected dotnet48. This installer does appear to do some work, however, it also fails after a short while with the message "Installation failure". With this as the final message in the log file

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Run command protontricks 230140 dotnet48
2. Proceed with installation until failure.

Expected behavior
dotnet48 should be able to safely install inside this prefix

System (please complete the following information):

• Distro: Manjaro Linux x86_64
• Kernel: Linux 7.0.3-1-MANJARO
• Protontricks installation method: Tested with both pacman version and flatpak version
• Protontricks version: 1.14.1
• Steam version: no beta
