I'm getting this warning:

Node.js 20 actions are deprecated. The following actions are running on Node.js 20 and may not work as expected: FirebaseExtended/action-hosting-deploy@v0. We're also hitting this. With the June 2, 2026 deadline for Node.js 24 enforcement, this is becoming urgent. Our CI is currently emitting deprecation warnings on every deploy. Would love to see a release that addresses the superstatic Node 24 compatibility issue.

While the action still needs to be updated to Node 24, from these logs it seems that the actual functionality that it implements is still using node24
ex: /opt/hostedtoolcache/node/24.9.0/x64/bin/npx firebase-tools@latest
Also, it's not the action that's failing, but the downstream firebase-tools package that's failing. In any case, both firebase-tools and superstatic have been updated to support node24.

I suggest closing this as a duplicate of #448 at this point, in order to not muddy the waters

This can be closed — Node 24 support landed in firebase-tools@15.17.0 via the superstatic v9 → v10 upgrade.

Simply update your workflow to Node 24:

firebaseToolsVersion defaults to latest, so no other changes are needed.
Verified working on Node v24.14.1 with firebase-tools@15.17.0.
