Detecting available bluetooth mic

I'm running Android 15 on a Kyocera Duraforce Pro 3 with Baseus MC1 Bluetooth buds. AudioRecorder version 2.0.2

Should there be an indication of available bluetooth devices to select from somewhere in the settings? Or a bluetooth enable? It's just using the phone mic for any Audio Source.

The Baseus mic works with Axet's audiorecoder, but I'd much prefer your app if I can.

Never mind: Exited everything and restarted AudioRecorder and got the banner to select/enable Bluetooth.

Bluetooth works fine when enabled. The difficulty is getting the enable popup. If the buds are connected after AudioRecorder is running, the enable popup appears. If the buds are turned on already before AudioRecoder starts, and they were off during the previous use of AudioRecoder, no popup occurs. I have to disconnect/reconnect the buds, which means putting them back in the charger, or browsing in to Settings to disconnect them. My buds are the only bluetooth device, so if they are off, the device list is empty.

The initial installation was confusing just because I already had my buds on before first run.

If I get a popup, enable the buds, record, leave the buds on, exit AudioRecoder and start it again later, the popup shows, but is always disabled. Using it many times a day requires re-enabling each time.

Auto popup on connect is nice, but perhaps there should also be a "available" check at startup, or a menu item to manually trigger the popup.
