Remove "You're protected" bubble on the tab screen on Android

What happened?

There is a bubble on the tab screen on Android that says "You're protected" with a shield icon. I can't tap it to find out more and it's not clear what I'm being protected from or why. Due to the lack of clarity, it seems useless and I'd like to turn it off. Is there a setting or flag I can use to disable this bubble? This does not show up on Firefox on Android or Waterfox on Linux. Not sure which version this first appeared in but it's on my 6.6.15 install. Thanks.

Apparently this can be turned off (thanks to PavloPogonets for pointing this out on a different bug report).

Settings > Homepage > Privacy Reports > off

You can close this report, but I'd suggest making this setting disabled by default, or at a minimum, make the setting clearer so we know what it does and how to disable it. I hardly think this qualifies as a "report" so it only serves to obscure the setting and intention.

This setting aside, I really enjoy Waterfox for Linux and Android and appreciate the development efforts for increased privacy. Thank you.

Frustratingly, the bubble is now back with the latest version on Android even though the Privacy Reports toggle is disabled in settings.

How can I permanently disable this "you're protected" or "31 trackers blocked" bubble?

I found there is another Privacy Report setting if you open the tab switcher, ellipses in the bottom-left, Tab Settings, then uncheck Privacy Report. Why are there two buttons for this now?

Interesting. My device doesn't experience the same behavior for some reason. Though this definitely seems like an oversight or bug at this point. The Privacy Reports toggle via Settings > Homepage doesn't appear to be doing anything now. The Privacy Reports toggle via Tab Settings turns the bubble on or off regardless of the other toggle setting. Thanks for sharing.

It turns out that the two shutdown buttons appeared because Firefox was updated and it was done in such a way that this bubble is on both the home screen and in the tabs, hence the two shutdown buttons.
