Codeman 1.46.0 is out: 13 PRs from four contributors, plus a typing fix of mine. The two big ones: the Git window can fetch now, and on a phone the keyboard stops eating Claude's transcript.
Fetch from the Git window. @opticon454: the Git status window has a Fetch button next to Refresh, so the "behind" count is current without leaving Codeman. There's also an optional interval, off by default, in App Settings under Bottom bar, and each session can override it in Session Options under Git. A fetch only moves remote-tracking refs, never runs for Docker or remote sessions, and has a time limit.
The phone keyboard keeps Claude's transcript. @JDProfresh measured this one in #672: every time the keyboard opened or closed, the terminal resized, and Claude Code reprinted only what fit, so the lines above were gone for good (25 of 100 after five keyboard cycles). Now a local Claude session keeps its size while the keyboard is up and slides the screen so the prompt stays in view. It's on by default as Keep Size Under Keyboard, per device.
Start a session next to any tab (opt-in). Also @JDProfresh, built the way we sketched it in #700: turn on New Session Button on Tabs and every session tab gets a +. Pick a CLI and the new session starts in that tab's case or worktree, in the same group, and the toolbar stays where it was.
Links that survive wrapping and spaces. @aakhter: a URL or path that a CLI wrapped inside a table cell or an indented paragraph is one link now instead of fragments, and a path with spaces (
~/My Docs/plan.md) links as one path when the line makes clear where it starts and ends. That goes for the terminal and the response viewer alike.More for agents. Also @aakhter:
codeman agent spawnwithout a case starts the worker in the current directory, or in one you pass with--working-dir.codeman history readreads Codex's saved conversations offline, without a running Codeman, and the codeman skill knows how to use it.codeman agent inspectreads a bounded slice of another session, andagent stage/agent submittype one line into a Codex composer and later send exactly one Enter.Cmd+K arrows both ways. @johoja12: after you type a case name in Cmd+K, Left and Right both switch the New session row's CLI when the cursor sits at either end of the query.
Smooth typing in long prompts. The instant typing preview rebuilt the whole prompt on every key, so on a phone a 4,000-character prompt cost most of a second per keystroke. Now it only redraws the line that changed.
Fixes.
CODEMAN_ALLOW_UNAUTHENTICATED_NETWORK, also let the Cloudflare tunnel start, so one click could put your terminals on a public URL with no login. Now it only covers the network bind. A tunnel without a password needs its own opt-in,CODEMAN_ALLOW_UNAUTHENTICATED_TUNNEL=1(or--allow-unauthenticated-tunnel), and the browser asks before every tunnel start. If you used the old variable for a passwordless tunnel, set the new one, or better, set a password.settings.jsoncan't get torn by two writes at once anymore (it used to come back as{}). Every write now goes through one writer that writes a temp file and renames it into place.codeman agent spawncreated a worker but the readiness check failed, it now prints the worker's id instead of losing it.Release notes: https://github.com/Ark0N/Codeman/releases/tag/codeman%401.46.0
To update: Settings, System, Updates in the app, or re-run the install line.
Thanks: @JDProfresh, @aakhter, @opticon454 and @johoja12.
